Welcome to Kindred Splendor (kindredsplender.com). These terms explain how ordering from us works. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to them. If you have a question, email us at info@kindredsplender.com.
"We", "us" and "our" mean Kindred Splendor [CONFIRM: legal business name, if different]. "You" means the person using our website or placing an order.
Our store
Our store runs on Shopify. Our products are printed and shipped by our print partner, Printful. Your order is with us, and we look after you from start to finish.
How your order works
- You choose a product and upload photos of your pet (or email them to us after ordering).
- Our artist creates your portrait.
- We email you a proof to check. You can ask for changes before you approve it.
- Once you approve your proof, your item is printed and shipped, or emailed if it's a digital portrait.
Your proof and approval
Please check your proof carefully: names, spelling, pets, colours and background. When you approve your proof, you confirm it's correct. After approval your order goes into production and can't be changed or cancelled. We aren't responsible for anything in a portrait that you approved.
Made to order: no returns or exchanges
Every item is made just for you, so all sales are final. We don't accept returns or exchanges, and we don't refund for a change of mind or a wrong choice of size, colour or product. The one exception is an item that is damaged in transit or lost in the mail. We'll replace it free of charge. See our Refund Policy for the details and time limits.
Your photos
When you send us photos, you confirm that you took them or have the right to use them, and that we may use them to create and make your order. Please don't send photos you don't have permission to use. We may refuse an order if a photo or request is offensive or unlawful, or if it copies someone else's artwork, characters or trademarks.
We only use your photos to make your order. We don't sell them.
Showing your portrait (only with your permission)
We'd love to share some favourite portraits on our website and social media, but we'll only share yours if you say yes. We'll ask you first, and if you don't agree, your portrait stays private. If you say yes and later change your mind, email us and we'll stop using it in new posts.
How our artwork is made
Every portrait is hand-crafted by a real artist from your photos, and we send you a proof to approve before anything is printed.
Our artwork
The portrait is yours to enjoy, display and give as a gift. Our artists' style, designs and the artwork files belong to us. Please don't resell our artwork or use it commercially without asking us first.
Colours and appearance
We do our best to show products accurately, but colours can look slightly different on different screens and materials. Small differences like these aren't a defect.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and may change from time to time. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout. We may cancel and fully refund an order if a price was clearly wrong, or if we can't make your item.
Shipping
Delivery times and details are in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.
Our responsibility
We'll always replace an item damaged in transit or lost in the mail as described in our Refund Policy. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as a gift arriving after a special date because of a carrier delay. Our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under the law where you live.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA [CONFIRM: state].
